I was there

ยฉ๏ธ2019mynamaste365online

Every shirt, towel, PJ set, and matched pair of socks

Every clean dish, cooked meal, grocery run, bathroom cleaning….

Every puke clean up, diaper change, spill clean up, bed change…

Every brush teeth reminder and trip to the dentist,

Every small victory celebrated, homework completed

Every drink refill, cut up apple, push on the swing,

Every pair of shoes on then off to be put on again,

Every cry soothed, every tear hugged away, every goodnight kiss…

Every morning trip to school, every stern declaration

Every tea party, and sing the ABCs, every Birthday, Christmas, every lost tooth and Easter egg Hunt…

Every milestone, every laugh, every bruised bump and tummy ache,

Every bite of ice cream and piece of art work, every time you needed guidance

Every signed permission slip, every vaccine shot, WIC appointment, and PT Conversation

Every book you heard, every lesson you learned, every tickle and every smile

Every step down the stairs, and every bite of solid food

Every squirrel that you saw and every plane you saw,

Every bird you watched, and chipmunk you chased

Every leaf you collected and every flower you picked.

Every moment, I was there. It’s been me, and though I doubt I did enough…

I’ve done the very best I could.

Because I am your mommy

And I love you, with my whole being.

He was the beloved of the village, Konso’s Grandpa he was called. Everyday, roughly around the sun behind the far off tree line, Grandpa would stroll to the local market to purchase beans and rice. He couldn’t buy much at once, for his joints were sore and his legs so tired.

On the way home, he would be greeted by the village children. They laughed and hugged him ever so tightly. He looked forward to this moment. The beautiful smiles and genuine laughter made his heart smile.

His dear wife, Gianna, couldn’t bare children. These little ones reminded him that love knows no difference in family, besides those we hold valuable and cherish. The kids loved seeing Grandpa just as much. He would make funny sounds and silly faces. He knew them all by name, and adored each one. Some days he was able to pass out little mint candies. Their previous faces would light up like the sun.

Day after day, this routine was the same. The villagers would hollar to him as he came through. Sometimes, on his return home, he would accept the given invitation of dinner. He was a grateful man, and he made certain he remained humble.

Then one day he didn’t walk to the market or return home. One day the sight of him stopped, and the Konso people cried….

Concept: To write everything and anything that comes to mind about the Daily Random Word.

It can be incomplete thoughts listed, a short story, a personal story, personal reflection, memories, whatever you want it to be. The idea is to get everything out. Once you’ve done that, you can return to these posts and use the ideas in your writing.

Have fun

Letter 2 Santa

Dear Santa

Dear Santa,

I don’t know what I want this Christmas. I rarely feel comfortable buying something unnecessarily, especially at Christmas time. Money, obligations, priorities, such an adult mindset. This is what happens when children grow up.

I have two beautiful daughters of my own. They have enjoyed doing our daily advent, and prepping for your arrival. Buying gifts for them, this year, was a stresser. Unforgivingly, society defines happiness with materialistic. The constant advertising, promotion that money equals successful, and lack of government help eligibility haunts so many adults. Do I choice to buy a $300 Christmas and not cover rent or do I cover rent, and teach my children gratefulness, while struggling with depression?

Santa, there’s nothing I want this Christmas, that you can give. I’ve outgrown many childlike ways, but I know many children who can’t wait to see what you leave them. This year, I’m asking you to have a conversation with God. Come up with an answer that results in every child receiving something for Christmas. I want every single child to feel the joy and happiness of the holiday…. Even if that means playing with a shoe box. Happiness is one of the greatest gifts, and children need to feel that hope and innocence.

Humans outgrow toys….. And we forget what we find under the tree, year after year. What we never forget is how someone makes us feel, and that gift should always be good intentions and love… From adults toward children. That’s my wish this Christmas, that’s what I want. I want every adults’ behavior, toward children, to be consciously positive and just. I want children to feel the childhood innocence, that of trust and safety. The first five years of life set the tone for am entire life: children deserve the best future possible.

Whether I’ve been naughty or nice, respectfully Santa, doesn’t matter. My request is genuine. Please fulfill this grown up Christmas wish.

My daughters made the cookies,

Love :

Sight Word- Beginning 2 Read

pin.it/2g5fls6df6vbkl

Completely random, but many can benefit from this. As adults , we teach children what words are, mean, and how to spell. Some words can be read by letter sound combinations…. others have to be read simply by “sight” , hence “sight words”! My Kindergarten is learning several this year. As children, learning sight words through sentences and stories help them better retain the information. This process teaches kids that words have meanings and how it fits in a story.

This website has a collection of “Sight Word Readers”…. 42 TOTAL!!! For free! Simply print and staple, and any child can get a super jumpstart on reading!

I wish someone was this excited to help me when I was her age. I hope this is helpful for someone out there.

Leader vs Royal

Writing for the Your Daily Word Prompt for today:D : imperious

Despite his royal status, and the endless riches, despite his physical difficulties, during his reign as a young man, he never grew imperious in character. He was Pharoah; but he behaved as would any male his age. I admire this about him because those years are emotionally confusing and hormonal.

Super interesting article about the aspect of his character.

Your Christmas Gift

Christmas Gift

Sheryl’s Your Daily One Word Prompt: Gift

My Christmas Gift:

Wrapped in red and green,

And a silver bow atop,

The gift is small but mine

To give, without cease or stop.

Gift it to a child, to a stranger, or nurse.

The gift is stronger than any evil curse.

Whether it’s a birthday, a holiday

Or simply just because,

This gift is always a perfect choice,

Coupled with a hug.

So when you’re down, and life is hard

Seek the Man above,

Reassuring, you Sit and open your gift:

That of Agape Loveโค๏ธ

Gifting love to each of you this beautiful season!

#WAD: No Caption

Sometimes,

there simply aren’t sufficient words to describe the cherish of a moment.

Sometimes,

there aren’t words that would best explain the significance of a sister.

Sometimes,

there’s no need for words… No caption… No talking.

Just love, smiles, and laughter.

ANIMAL PUPPETS
5F316C6C-24E1-40E9-897E-4205F8BE92D8

This is a free play area for kids at one of many Metro Parks in Cleveland. These puppets are awaiting kids at Rocky River Nature Center, along with blocks, a huge turtle shell, fish to view, and more.

Cleveland has really impressed me with how well kept they’ve managed these parks. In addition to the cleanliness, I’m so impressed with the whole set up. Big cities usually struggle to keep nature close by ; not Cleveland.

Paisley was the light of Patricia’s life! She was positive and cheerful, loved everyone, and enjoyed life. Patricia always said Paisley could accomplish anything, despite her Down Syndrome.

As Paisley’s 16th birthday approached, Patricia decided a beach theme would be perfect. It was her favorite escape in the area.

On a single table, Patricia laid several genuine beach relics. These were memorabilia ย of when she and her mother visited Sunset Shore! Patricia smiled at her special arrangement. It’s but bittersweet acceptance to pass it down to the next generation.

Top 10

Reasons I Love My Daughter in School :

  • She makes new friends.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized the importance of friendships. I truly wish I realized this, that my parents nurtured this idea when I was my daughter’s age.

  • I see other parents.

Suddenly I don’t feel so alone in the ” sometimes” struggles that feel like suffocation.

  • I hear others parenting.

This morning, I walked past an older woman of whom I’ve spoken to before. She had a small child with her, and she was instructing, “You always let the girls to first.” Way to go ma’am. That’s chivelry this world’s forgotten. Continue reading “Top 10”

Not All Heroes Wear Capes

Woman survives cancer, not once, but twice.

Teacher shields her students in a school attack.

Child decides to raise money for a parent’s bill.

Man pushes himself to regain independency.

Young man assists an elderly across the street.

An employee encourages a special needs customer to help.

Volunteering with disaster relief

Donating blood.

Praying

Listening.

There’s angels that walk this earth…

That blend in with all of us…

They don’t wear capes.

They’re deciding to be kind.

They’re demonstrating how to lead.

They’re dedicating time to others.

Not all heroes wear capes,

Many of them, though they feel “ordinary”,

Made a decision,…

That was extraordinary.

Day 14: Mommy Needs a Time Out

Good Morning:D It’s a grey and bleek Thursday morning here in my part of Ohio. I believe rain is to visit, periodically, this morning. While I had plans to invest some quality time into blogging, my daughters needed entertainment.

I knew there was plenty for them to do. Something about mommy pulling out toys with a few added words sparks their imagination much more quickly.

Growing up, I had 3 sisters and 4 brothers. I hated sharing toys. I hated when my mom would get impatient and tell us to go play. Now, I get it! Sometimes, every momma needs personal space. Sometimes, she just needs a 5 minuet time out.. to herself… So she can recollect and feel some sense of control in her life.

#7 Well Done Meal

With the humidity here in Cleveland, I’ve lived on salads, sandwiches, and finger refrigerator foods. It’s awesome to know it’s healthy, and my body appreciates the sentiment. It’s just calories make me feel a bit more me and much less like Dracula! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ (Insert any Snickers commercial here..) This evening, I managed to bake chicken breasts covered with ranch dressing and Italian breadcrumbs! It was AMAZING!! The meat was super moist and loaded with flavor! I made Spanish Rice and a small veggies and cheese combo side! Collectively, everything complimented one another and was delicious! My girls weren’t interested in having any so I even got to enjoy it HOT!!

Keeping kids “schooled”

One morning, like 2 am, I ย signed me and my girls up! #2. Naps

Depression and Anxiety require lots of TLC.

Because some days are just SUPER difficult! Depending on how I choose to handle things, some days are overwhelmingly too much. Every tasks feels like it requires twice the effort. Every little incident feels as if the world is over. Every friend feels as if abandoned me, and every interaction with another human makes me wish I could run and hide. Some days, my nap is why I am happy. It eases the life stresses temporarily, while restoring strength to my body, soul, and mind. Naps allow me to escape what I feel and return with better preparedness to properly handle life. Today, one of those hellish days, I’m happy because I get to sleep!

Siblings found chained in backyard in 2016 celebrate adoption

There’s many a story with gut-wrenching endings at our access. This one, however, turned quite glorious! My four siblings and I were adopted, at young ages. We grew up trying to understand and accept what we couldn’t control. I still struggle with abandonment issues; but, I’m hopeful. These children are smiling despite their adversity. My heart smiles at the thought of their futures with their new family๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
